VG, a few light pencil notations on cover, else a clean, unmarked copy; covers show light soil, spine has small loss at base, and short tears. A tribute to the Leland family and hotels by the author, a frequent guest - "this family and business sketch, composed during his midsummer vacation, is respectfully dedicated to the memory of" the Lelands, past and present. St Clair wrote a guidebook to Rockaway and Rockaway Beach in 1880, with train schedules as well as detailed descriptions of hotels, and advertisements. No information about the author. LOC digitized its copy; no copies on OCLC.
